FEMME FORTE - BY BRYDIE WATSON

Last Thursday night we celebrated International Womens day with 'Femme Forte’ - a 35mm black & white photo series by local photographer Brydie Watson. The portrait series featured some of the communities best and brightest women, from all walks of life. People flocked to the see Brydies beautiful work and within half an hour our showroom/cafe was full to the brim with folks of all ages. Stone & Wood and Brookie’s Gin were there to keep everyone hydrated and The Tropical Touch put on a stunning spread. There were a bunch of prints sold on the night with 10% of proceeds being donated to local not-for-profit Future Dreamers ( futuredreamers.com.au ) - a ‘Girls Club’ that supports young women by holding workshops, putting on gigs and art classes.

“It was amazing to be able to bring everyone together and celebrate such outstanding women on international women’s day. I’m so proud to be a woman and am forever inspired by all of the awesome women in my life,” Brydie said of the night.

Once everyone had a good look through the portrait series the entertainment for the night kicked off featuring a live performance from vocal artist Sophie Ozard, shortly after Brydie jumped on the aux cord with her party playlist for the night and ‘Murder on the Dance Floor’ quickly got everyone grooving.

“I am so humbled by the turnout and support of everyone who came along. The vibe was epic all night and I couldn’t stop smiling! Thanks again to everyone involved and to everyone who came along. Definitely exceeded my expectations and I am so greatful for all of the support! Yeah the girlssss!” - Brydie
