How To Measure - Tees:
To find your perfect fit, grab a T-shirt you already love and follow these simple steps. This will help you understand how McTavish tees will fit on you.
All you need is a Tape Measure, a flat surface and your favourite T-shirt (to measure against).
Tip: All our measurements are in centimetres (CM) and are taken with the garment lying flat.
Body Length
Measure from the highest point on the shoulder (next to the collar) straight down to the bottom hem of the tee.
Across Shoulder
Measure straight across from the outer edge of one shoulder seam to the outer edge of the other shoulder seam.
Across Chest
Lay the tee flat and measure straight across the chest from one underarm seam to the other.
Sleeve Length
Measure from the top shoulder seam (where it meets the sleeve) down to the sleeve's end.

Winters in the seventies were harsh for shapers, with a comparatively smaller surfing population. So Bob kept things afloat by tackling four Spoons back-to-back (a notoriously complex build), shaping, laminating, sanding and painting them himself out of his Lennox Head farmhouse. It took weeks, but by the end, he'd earned over $2,000 (in 1975) - enough to support his growing family of five until spring rolled around and custom orders picked up again.
