A Noosa 66 for Rural Aid

A Noosa 66 for Rural Aid

Last week we joined in a collaborative northern rivers effort to raise funds for Rural Aid Australia, who are leading the way in the current drought relief effort. Local restaurants, farms and producers including Three Blue Ducks, The Farm, Boon Luck Farm, Harvest, 100 Mile Table, Raes at Wategos, Stone & Wood, & Brookies Gin (amongst many others) came together to host a magnificent dinner of epic proportions, with all proceeds raised going to www.ruralaid.org.au

We aren’t exactly chefs but McTavish were super keen to get involved so we donated a hand shaped, Limited Edition Noosa 66, to be raffled off alongside the sale of tickets for the amazing dinner event. Within a few days all 100 surfboard raffle tickets were snapped up with a lucky winner, from the Gold Coast, stoked to collect his board after being drawn from the barrel.

In total the combined initiative raised well over $30,000 and brought a bunch of talented people together to show support for those in need around rural Australia. We’d like to thank everyone who bought a ticket in the board raffle, and to those involved in organising the drought relief dinner, especially the good folk from the Three Blue Ducks and The Farm, for their generosity and hard work. Great job folks!
