I've made boards like this for as long as I've been shaping, definitely the result of long nor-easter seasons and frustrating surfs on 'standard' short-boards. Still not wanting to lose the high performance characteristics of a short-board I have chopped off the excess foam front and back, flattened the rocker so there is more board in the water. It still has single concave to again straighten the rocker line between your feet - fins are way back to balance the low tail rocker and the tips of the tail are slightly vee’d and super thin to handle hollow pockets of speed in summer slop. Not a novelty board but an easy daily rider. Think 4" shorter and 1” inch wider than your standard board....
