I've done several trips to Bali over the years and always found the local breaks around Kuta to be hectic and a bit polluted. I always manage to find some great waves but couldn't help thinking there was something missing.
Now I think I've found the postcard perfect combination of clear water, a beautiful beach and a great left hander right out the front. Its called Belangan Beach and its about an hours drive (thanks to the incredible traffic around Bali) from the centre of Kuta on the way along the peninsular to Uluwatu. Bob, Matt Chojnacki and myself had a great time here surfing and hanging around in the warungs on the beach.
If you ever get a chance, this place is something to see!
